I actually HAD been hoping to spend July 4th in the US this year, and to incorporate Carlisle as part of it after doing Route 66 on the way. But the taxman shafted me last financial year and it wasn't possible.
The good news is both my daughters just scored jobs with airlines as flight attendants.
THAT means hugely discounted flights for their Daddy!
Next year my youngest daughter wants to celebrate her 21st in Vegas! So it looks like I'll get there for either Carlisle or Vegas *fingers crossed*
