Would you sell it your boss?

I would only sell it to my boss if I was gonna use the money to make sure he could never physically drive it or any other car ever again!!!!

(not that I have anything against my boss...he's a swell guy....    ::)    )

Not to mention any work related issues, he owns an old car or two, and he has money/hangs out with people who have money, and likes to rub it in your face when you run into him at a car show.  Very snooty etc.....

As much as I would like the next owner to take care of the car it's none of my business what he or she does with it.  I'm with the others here though, I really don't want to see it again if I have to sell it.

I visited the previous owner of my car not long ago, it was a nice Saturday morning and he still had a few parts for me.  Nothing I really needed but he told me when he sold it that he'd love to see it from time to time so I figured I'd make him happy so I turned into his driveway with the Charger after cleaning it top to bottom.  He was very happy to see it again, looking better than when he sold it to me.

That's not possible in my case as it couldn't look any better than it does now.............Sadly it can only go down hill from here.

wouldnt want to sell to any family. then they think there is a mechanic attached to the car for as long as they choose to own it. :yesnod:

That's exactly the case with the wife's corvette. He lives down the street from us of all places and knows that I maintain all our cars myself so he takes advantage.

Would not sell to:

- Boutros Boutros-Ghali
- Sean Penn
- Julian Assange
- Or Courtney Love

Lets face it, with the very rare exception of having to sell due to divorce or financial difficulties, more often than not we sell a car because w've had enough of it so it doesn't really matter what the next owner does with it.  If you cared that much about it...............you wouldn't sell.   :Twocents:

Yeah but they're the ones with the money and will more than likely pay your price if it's what they're after.

I'd like my car to be AT LEAST TWO states away.

I concur whole heartedly.....2 COUNTRIES would be even better!  ;)

Even if yours would travel that far, you'd still have all the merchandise rubbing it in!

I'm with Cooter, for enough money they could take it directly to the crusher for all I care.

That said, for the same money I'd get elsewhere, I'd rather not sell it to anyone whose plan for it would be to make a Donk out of it and paint it 'Godzilla's Ass Green' and put Skittles logos all over it.   I'd hold onto it first or even sell it at a small loss.

The good news is most of those types of car builders don't have the coin for a Charger.  They instead buy rustbomb 73 Impalas worth $1500 and then put 10K in the wheels, paint, and stereo while it still blows smoke from bad o-rings every time they take off from the stoplight.

Uh yeeeah...I say that with a dash of modesty as I didn't "pimp my ride" to the point that I could park it besides a lot of your guys' much finer cars.  I really wish I had taken it down to the unibody/frame and built it back up but that couldn't happen-at least not now.  Nevertheless, it's my perfectly flawed car and I love it to death.  Unfinished, I sprung it out of the body shop today because it's been 5 painstaking months and took it to a cruise/show.  I never thought I would live to see the day where I could drive up and down Grand Avenue with all of the other machines, seeing people's arms shoot up and then see a flash as they took a picture.  The ones that freaked me out were the people that practically jumped out in front of the car to get a shot as we rolled by.  With kids yelling and pointing, girls looking vaguely interested, looking our way, and people chatting my ear off before I could even get out of the car I can say that it's finally worth it.

I'm still waiting on front side markers, bumper bolts, door lock knobs and lots of other little pieces to arrive and be installed.  I still don't have a console.  There's a nasty in-gear rattle I'm getting from the body I have to sort out.  I'm also planning to ship the car off AGAIN to a trusted service center for a complete rewiring (driving home without dash and tail lights and the occasional no-power-because-of-the-bulkhead-deal REALLY SUCKED).  The body shop wanted to keep the car and truly finish it but I just can't live without the car any more; I'll finish it myself.  Sell it?  My dear Lord perish the thought.  Now.  If I could just find a place to park it...

Enjoy that feeling while its new, be proud, but if you're anything like me, it will start to drive you crazy after a while.  People asking the same silly questions every show you go to or every place you stop.
I especially hate it when they start slowing down in front of you so that they can get a good look at it in their rear view mirrors. But I guess that's the price we lucky Charger owners have to pay and I guess it goes without saying that I'd put up with just about anything if it means I get to keep my prized possession.
Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy.  :2thumbs:

Only thing that bothered me was the Fast & Furious crowd-every 4-banger with a Fart-Can wanted to run the car; yeah-on a packed Avenue with cars and people walking everywhere rev-jumping on another car is such a sensible thing to do.  Who let these d**kless f**ks into the car show anyway? ::)

I'm afraid I couldn't sell my '70.  I've told people that my wife will divorce me, I'll lose my house and I'll be living in the car while it rusts away around me before I consider selling it.

The '66 is another matter.  Before I sell it I would need to be pretty sure that the car would be cherished as much as I cherish it.
