New "kid" on the block

Hey guys, just got the go-ahead to join the forum.  Hopefully, this is the right place to introduce myself. 

I'm down to single digits (years) to retirement and I'm looking to start something new.  I've always wanted to rebuild an old car.  I had a '73 Challenger when I first started as rookie in '90.  It was stolen a few years later and by the time it was recovered I was sick of the whole situation and let the insurance company have it.  I've since been doing a fair amount of metal work on the side so the bodywork part of a resto. doesn't scare me too much.  The rest I'll learn.

I'm starting to redo the barn as a shop and also been doing a lot of research and reading.  (I think the hardest part was working up the courage to jump in with both feet )
The wife wants a '68 mustang fastback in highland green and I want a '68 Charger - I suppose I'll have to go with black

Anyways, I'm sure I'll have a lot of stupid questions for you guys in the future.

Hello and welcome Sargent! Ask away and you already know there are no stupid questions. Yes you will have to acquire both cars......happy wife, happy life. You've got a barn to make into your shop!? I already don't like ya!   Man, with a barn I'm seeing ample shop space, a lift, plenty of comfy man cave space with the obligatory recliner, crapper and frig. Hell, with a barn you could possibly have yourself a loft so you'd never have to see the misses.  

Anyway welcome to the forum, you'll find some very fine, salt of the earth folks here who will get you through anything you come up against.......cars too!
Plus we have have Skip and Mrsskip, dan68x426, firefighter Steve, Cooter and Bull, Ghoste, SF Dave, Fred the Randy and lest I forget, Finn. You'll like the Finnster, he has single handedly brought out the lecherous side of all of us with his photography........well except for the delightful ChallengHer and Shelby who are just delightful. These folks alone will keep you on the straight and narrow......kinda. The rest of the posse here are good ole hardcore wrench benders of the highest
order.

Most importantly you will get to know our great leader, the Ayatollah of all things Mopar, the grand poobah of dodge dementia, the master of Chrysler constipation.......Mr. Troy our beloved master administrator and bookie. (no he's not a hair stylist......pretty sure anyway)

Finally, progress pictures (even of the stang) are required or you won't get your secret ChargerForum belt buckle and derringer.

Soon you'll be so short you'll be able to see a snakes belly.
