So uh... How loud is 152DB?

Can someone tell me aproximatley how loud a 152 decible horn is?  Just a comparison is fine.  Thanks

Thats pretty frickin loud... I once replaced an 80 decible horn with a hi-pitched 132db horn. That was plenty of horn for me....

  We have an AFB nearby.  In H.S. we did a db test on B-52s and others.  They were around 150.  I believe the C5 Galaxy was even worse.  Damn things shook the windows.

You're following my train of thought there TK. 

I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a $300 kit for my pickup.  It's rated for 152DB.  It's either the little 3 horn (152db) or spend 1K on a Nathan K5LA train horn.  It's the actual horn used on the railroad.  I'm going for max shock when I hit the horn with the least cost.

I used to sell them to people who wanted the loudest they could get and I find that the electric "train" horns dont sound and are not as loud as the train ones they claim to be. If you want a good blast, buy the train horns run by air lol!

Some nut did similar thing in Yugo. Once when he turned the maximum the next thing he found were windows out of the car.

reminds me of a guy i knew in school....kind of a real asshole, which probably led to this but anyway...there's alot of semi's hauling gravel and/or cement around here because of the 2 cement plants...i was coming over the bridge next to monarch and he was coming the opposite direction toward me..i was probably going around 80 when we passed each other and apparently i threw some rocks onto the windsheild of his precious p.o.s mid 80's camaro and chipped the windshield. Well in his anger he hit the amp button on his stereo and cranked it all the way up...he had so much bass that it proceeded to spiderweb his ENTIRE windsheild in about .5 seconds....i over heard him saying something about it in school to one of his buddys...i don't think he realized it was me that he passed     i thought it was hillarious anyway

Standing next to an F-14 at full power with ear plugs and muffling head sets your teeth would vibrate and it was still unbearable not sure of the db levels but they are louder than a commercial jet engine.
