but when you walk around to the front, this is really tough to swallow

Has anyone done a retro conversion to a 2nd gen Charger based on one of these?  Convert to a 2-door, rear sail area, redo the grill?

I have to admit I am liking the new SRT Chargers.  The taillights lit up at night look sweet.

West Coast customs did a two door version and with a pearl orange paint to resemble a General Lee.

Local dealer has a 12 model on the lot, 4600 miles, 5.7 R/T, divorce sell. Test drove it the other day, must say, would love to have it, but not in the cards just yet. Really like the power, brakes, AC, the color was Titanium grey with black buckets. The previous owner had the windows tinted also, sweet ride. I must be getting old & soft at my age.

It shows how contentious the decision to sedan the name was since we are still bringing this up after all this time.  But it ain't never ever going to happen.  In fact, be grateful it can still be had with a high performance V8 in it because I think in a few years we'll be hard pressed to find/afford those too.

I really like the 12's rear end. Its pretty slick. Much cooler then my 07. I hate the the new front end. Looks like a large mouth bass. The srt 392 is a monster. But I can't complain about the 07. I'm over 100k miles now, I still get 27 mpg on the highway, still hugs corners like a boss, and busted out a 13.9@102 last month on wore out radials with no traction( hence the 13.9)

I love the way the 2012 looks with the way Dodge re-designed the body it looks more like a 2nd gen more than ever but only the SRT got that ugly front bumper treatment for some reason, I like the standard R/T version better. They are nice cars anyway you cut it! Our Indiana State Troopers all have Chargers,
and our town has just bought six new Chargers for cruisers!

I think the SRT one is a lot worse too.  Didn't think it could be made worse but they found a way.

They make retro grills for my body. I'm thinking about getting the 68 style and blackening out my rear taillight lenses and trunk panel to give it the classic look.

Jeff, You do not have room for another Charger.  So I will do you a favor and take the red one or the yellow one off your hands so you have a place to park a 2012 model. After all, what are friends for.
