I am looking at buying this locking gas cap. Can anyone tell me if it looks like an original Chrysler cap or is it a repro? It is used and the seller stated it was on his car for 4 years. The thing that throws me is the appearance of a screw (on the part that would  be inside the filler tube) that has slot instead of a phillips head.
The seller is asking $100. Is that a reasonable price? How much is a new repro and who sells them?
Thanks for the help.

Not sure about the Charger ones, but the ones for the Challenger always have Briggs and Stratton on the keys.

Charger-Bodie

Yep. The Charger ones usually say briggs on the too. Sometimes gas or ful,but rarely....

Gas is rare?  Both of my locking caps have keys that say "gas" on them.  I had thought that was normal based on the sampling size.

It must be the reflections in the pic but the top of this one doesn't look right. Looks almost like a frying pan??

The one tan top posted looks just like mine. My keys are silver and say GAS on them.

I see what you mean.  I think it could be lighting, I think it looks like the right style overall.
