That's seriously sweet, doesn't look like it would need much at all.

I do wish the guy paid more attention in the 'punctuation and capitalization' part of English class though.   I'm the last guy to play grammar nazi, but his post is headache-inducing.

Yeah, no kidding.  He already sounds like a very respectable seller & that would only help.

I love red interiors.  It looks like username Brad's old R/T.  I loved that car too, modeled my 1st R/T after his.

Not to many cars like that around anymore especially a 69 charger.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Doesn't elenmars already have another car?

His write up does give you a headache, but he did a nice job photographing the details of the body. Most people seem to just stand back 15 feet and walk around the car when taking pictures, never showing the details.

$13,600, and the reserve hasn't been met  :shruggy:

Now at $18,100 on Tuesday AM, reserve still not met.  How much should this XP Charger sell for? A repaint w/ body damage and light rust?  :popcrn:

I'm going to guess it never makes reserve. I'm thinking with the way it's worded that they have reserve so outrageously high that they just want to see what kind of bid they can get, and then maybe make an offer to the high bidder outside of ebay.

:iagree: back in 1990 i found a 68 Plymouth 2dr. Satellite in about the same condition less any rust, mint but with little old lady garage wacks and scratches here and there it was white with a green vinyl top, green carpet, white bench seat,28k orig miles,383 2bbl.polyglass white walls and full hubcaps, it was parked at our local Big A auto parts store, i walked in to inquire, it belonged to the owners former grandmother that had passed on years before, i bought it for the asking price of ....drum roll.... $800.00  :nana: the crazy thing is car guys worked there and had no interest in it, the elderly ladies name was Lou Lou Vanpelt. The car was garaged since new in a little single car garage beside the house, the last inspection sticker on the tag was 1976. I detailed it, put a intake and 4bbl. carb, custom duals with new GTX Tips, police car wheels with dog dish's and white letter tires, i pulled up to the parts store a month later and the boys liked it then, :D It was my daily driver for awhile, i ended up selling to someone at the Dover Air force Base in De.

Regarding prices, I find it odd that people find $18K too high yet $5K for a car that needs $15K more to get there plus one hell of a headache seems to be the norm.

I said it before and will say it again, it's worth what people are willing to pay for it.  1 owner Chargers are pretty damn rare these days so I'm sure that's helping to drive the price up.

I am with you! @ $18,500 (still not met reserve), it's a fair price, esp. with its overall condition. Lots of junk in the $10k - $14K range which require $10k or more worth of work to get close to this point...

Of course, it's still an XP VIN, so I think this car (an XS29 VIN) was the deal of the decade on ebay last year: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,74322.0.html

I would say this car applies to my statement on the other thread ... if I was interest.. I could see paying green, gold T-color RT prices for this car....just saying I like it.  Maybe not a 383-4spd sunroof goofy thing, but that's a cool car worth having in my eyes :Twocents:.

I'm sure the car would be worse off today, had it not been Zieberted. :Twocents:

Brock Lee

I doubt it. How many Ziebart survivors do you see? Not many. It was only effective on a factory fresh car with no rust started. They just blew that junk in on top of areas already started rusting. Then the holes drilled into the body were simply plugged with a cap, not sealed. This one appears to have been kept out of the elements. That saved it.
