So I looked at the Forum stats today.

We, as a group, are within 7 days of the 100 millionth thread view.

And within 38 days of the 1 millionth post.

What does it all mean?

Wow that's allot of posts & members, I think I only really talk to maybe 5 or 6 regularly & really only know 2 or 3... I do read allot of others posts though...

More than you think. The last time I really checked we had a lot fewer members and I believe about 20% had been online and/or posted in the previous 6 months. I could check again but I really don't have time.

I spent an entire year here reading before I made a single post. Some people "lurk" but that doesn't mean we should get rid of them. I meet a lot of these people at shows and I bet their reaction would be a lot different if their account was suddenly gone. When I ran the numbers above I also did a check of people with 0 posts but a significant amount of time online (to weed out the users who only logged in once). There's a large number of them.

The people who have never logged in are a different story. However, deleting them is another time-consuming maintenance task that really has no benefit.

The Chicks on Chargers thread is still in the top 5, I see. That thing was locked 5 years ago!  :smilielol:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
