And here is the last car, not sure if my first post is working or not, if not i will have to retype all of it out, fingers crossed it works.

Wollfen

Grrrrr, drivin me nuts, gonna try uploading one more time.... :icon_smile_angry:

Wollfen

Heh thanks guys, well i got a few pics here for ya, all three cars are basically complete, the third red one is a factory 4spd 318 but has no interior and is very rusty, the blue one is a factory 383 car and has a pretty good body but no fender tags so i am gonna do that one up my way, as for the RT, she hasn't seen the road since 1977 and is very original if a bit sad, it will need a few little metal patches here and there plus a trunk floor, the door trim is good but will need carpet, headliner and seat covers. The original 440 blew up early in its life and for some reason received a warranty 383? Strange, but hey i got a 1968 spare Chrysler 300 440 sitting here so I'm gonna fit that one, umm, i got a lot of new sheetmetal for the car too most of which it doesn't need, I will use some of it on the blue car, probably sell the rear quarters. When I think of more I will let you know, oh and i will be selling the complete 4spd setup, it has a trunion drive on the back, so its a 1964/65 model. Check the pics and see what ya think!

Looks great. What is your background in cars ?

Wollfen

i started wrenching on cars in my teens about 30 years ago and i tackled everything to do with fixing and restoring cars over the years so now i can basically handle anything on a car from bodywork to mechanical to electrical, just keep those damned computers away from me :P I have even worked in a warbird restoration facility for a couple of years and learnt a few skills and tricks regarding metal formwork and such. It all comes in handy when you are working on a budget.

3 68's? what kind of newbie are you? you must be as knowledgeable as the designers by now

Wollfen

Heh its been a big learning curve when it comes to what is unique to chargers. Its only two now because the red charger fell on its sword for the good of the other two  :P

Baldwinvette77

oh god  :o i could never cut up such a cool car, if it cant be restored, at very least it can be morphed into a 4 wheel terror to society  :METAL:

Yes i am Rebel, in Greenville NC

Old Tired Rebel

Cool I use to live in Lexington and a few other places in NC before moving to OAKIEVILLE

Wollfen

Alrighty, a bit of an update for you all, the body is in one piece again and back on its wheels, suspension all renewed and tight, i psent the last few weeks refurbishing the paintbooth I have here, it hadnt been used in over a decade and all the electrics were dead. As for the car, Im not really happy with the paint, if you look at the front drivers fender and see the reflection, you will see what I am aiming for, so Ill rub it all back and do it again, this time in the paint booth.

Nah i just took the pics you see just before i put the wheels on, it is going to be wheeled into the paint booth soon, i am currently refurbishing the entire grille assy, then i will pull the dash assy apart and start doing that. But with winter coming on, its going to slow down for a couple of months. Minor stuff i can do in front of the TV.

Wollfen

Been a long time  since I posted on here, unfortunately i had to let the car go because of family reasons. I couldn't afford to keep it let alone spend the money needed to finish it. I figured at the time that would be my last opportunity to own a Charger and let most of the parts go as well.
Then about three weeks ago I went to an auction and managed to pick up a Charger shell that needs a lot of work. I had the money and decided to go for it. I may start another thread on the new car as I start work on it. Check the pics below for an idea, cheers.

Baldwinvette77

ironically it looks about the same as the car you cut up years ago, its nice that you are back and with another project

It might not look it but this car has far less rust. I will probably have the shell rust free in about 4 to 6 weeks. Don't quote me on that though, the weather is driving me nuts, one day nice and warm, the next too cold to get out of bed!
