I would take a glance inside the torque converter as well to see if the bearing is coming apart (since you are pulling the trans anyway)... may or may not be obvious if it is bad.  I had that issue on another trans not too long ago.  It sounded a little bit like a knock and I thought it could have been the flexplate, loose bolts, or a bearing.  It really only made the rattle at idle and would go away when there wasn't as much of a speed differential in the torque converter.

It's already on its way back in! Just bolted it to the motor last night.  Hope to finish it up tonight.

Its done...I hope. Too late to fire it tonight so Ill have to wait until tomorrow to test it out. My girlfriend even helped out! :woohoo:
