you hold a car show in one of the most affluent neighborhoods in town? Some really cool (and expensive) cars and a ton of people who are clueless about cars but want to be seen at social events. I have lived in Cincinnati most all of my life and have always wanted to go to the Ault Park Concours de Elegance and finally made it this year. There were 225 cars in the show but many are ultra-rare. I saw only my second real A/C Cobra and my third real Boss 429. Cost as a spectator was $25 but all proceeds went to charity so I don't mind. Unlike the usual car shows I go to, there was wine tasting and an automobile themed art show. To top it off, instead of "split the pot", the raffle was for a trip for four to see Jay Leno's garage AND three other collections in California AND $3,000 cash.

That was my favorite car when I was a kid.  A friend of my dad's owned two so he took me for a spin in one but as with most of these it broke down halfway down the road.  Still  a great car.  My other favorite car is a Delorean, why I fall for the biggest pos cars I'll never know.   :icon_smile_big:

The Stutz Lancefield Coupe is a favorite of mine.   It is a straight 8, supercharged with a one-off body.   Love that roofline.

Aero426

Nice looking Ram Air Cyclone.

I have a little ford in me. The Boss 429 is wild.
Saw 2 real ones years ago at a show. I guy had a pair of them one was a 302 the other a 429 both grabber blue. The other Boss 429 was orange.

One of the big wigs in the company I work for had his V16 Cadillac in that show.  Or I assume it was that one, there couldn't have been too many high end shows in Cinci last weekend could there?

Inside the show:

I had a friend of mine that had one of these as a daily driver years ago. I tuned it up once and rebuilt the carb another time.

Wicked cool show. Sometimes though I wish the owners would leave   the hood down after the engine cools awhile. That way you get to truly appreciate the lines of the whole vehicle . NICE STUFF  $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Ive always said that at a certain time all hoods , doors and deck lids should be shut,at all car shows. That way you can get pics, and like you said get an unobstructed view of the entire car.

Very nice. Boy would I love to win the prize to check out Jay Leno's collection. It would probably take a week.

Yeah, but if they did that then all the people who want detail shots would be whining during the closed period.
