That's kinda rude, dude. :slap:

What's rude? He's selling his car and will probably move on... I have not been to an F-Body board since selling my Trans Am, so I was thinking ahead with a question on my mind  :Twocents:

I agree, it isn't rude to ask about a mirror.

But Pocket Thunder is rude, he always asks about one last date with someone's wife after they sell a car.

Didn't need a whole thread for this?  I measured compared to the left and drilled. There are threads on this. Good Luck.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

One "last" date would imply that there were "previous" dates up to the sale.  In that case.... i hope you never sell your cars Bob.  :loser:

At least I have a better idea of what's been going on with my wife recently?  I thought it was the boredom of 20 years of marriage to a guy that found his soul mate to be his car. Now I got it. Please don't stop.

It's probably just me.

rtse is obviously going through some emotional times with the car now, and it just seemed a little odd to ask him about the mirror.

It's like, "I know you're getting a divorce dude, but your soon-to-be ex is really in shape....how does she do it?"

(just an analogy....don't take offense, in case anyone is really getting a divorce now....)

I know I read one, but I'm to worn out to look.  I just measured and compared to the other side off a refrence point.

QuoteDid you use / make a template, or?

I'd make a template.
Once finished with your breakfast cereal, cut the sides of the box out and tape together. Establish and cut a straight edge along the length of the cardboard. Unbolt the existing LH mirror and remove (including cable, if remote). Using the bottom edge of the window/door trim as the straight reference, tape the straight side of the cardboard along this side, overlapping the cowl and fender and door seams.
Carefully crease folds into the cardboard. Remove and trim w/ scissors. Reattach template and continue trimming until the all edges meet the three body panels. Now locate the two mounting holes and perforate their position.

Reverse the template for the passenger's side - position, tape and drill.

Dino

Don't forget to paint the inside of the holes so they don't start to rust.  A bit of grease on the bolts isn't a bad idea either.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Very nice!

Now did you check to see if the driver's side is the same?  I don't trust the Dodge boys to actually measure twice drill once.

Or is it measure once, drill twice?

In their case it's probably more like can't find tape measure, just eyeball it.

Yep, those are exactly the pics I used as reference!  :2thumbs:
I ended up making a template as well off the driver's side, flipped it over for reverse for the passenger's side. Turns out, the holes were in the exact spot as in Jason's pic!  :yesnod:
