so ive never been to carlisle and have no idea where a good place to stay would be. need a nice place but only there for one night. friday night. is there a list of hotels near by or some suggestions?

If you're not bringing a show car, talk to ChrisG on this 'site. I hear he has some smokin' deals on rooms that are very close to the fairgrounds.  :2thumbs:

We are staying at the Country Inn and Suites.  A very nice, clean place.  It is less than 10 minutes away.  I booked about 3 weeks ago and they still had rooms left.  We stayed there last year and it was really nice.
