Hey guys, I finally started working on my charger again.  :2thumbs: Today I noticed that there was a gap between the front roof brace and the roof skin.... what can I do to fix this. The skin isn't deformed or oil canned yet, but I'm afraid that if I don't fix it now I will be having issues down the road....
Thanks
Martin

How wide is the gap? You could use some expanding foam used around windows/doors

Can you get some pics and post them here?  I'm not sure I know what you're talking about.

Well I would, but unfortunately after the move my camera has gone MIA..... If I can find it I'll take some pictures. From memory I'm thinking that the gap is around a quarter of an inch. The Brace I'm talking about is about 4ish inches wide and runs across the bottom of the roof skin. It looks like it was glued to the skin from the factory...

Oh I see what you're saying, it's the roof structure braces.  Actually it's just fine for the gap to be there, if the skin is connected to the braces and the braces flex, the roof skin will be damaged.  The one thing you can do is fill the gap with permanently flexible sealer.  Body shop supply stores carry those.
Don't use a rigid caulk or foam as it may show through the skin.

I have repaired a lot of hood skins that were sealed with rigid sealer to the braces and the only way to fix it is to cut all the sealer and start over.
