1970 spare tire

Have 275/60 -15 tires on the back with a SG axle. That tire /wheel will not fit in the trunk in the normal spot. What size fits and is about the same height?

235/60/15 is max that will fit back there (that I have found that fits in stock location)...that tire is almost 2" shorter though 27.99" vs. 26.1"

I have a 14 X 6 ralley wheel from my 73 spare with a F78-14 tire. it fits , but is an inch shorter and the tire is 30 years old.

I did not realize how much bigger 3rd gen trunks where.

I have a 225/70-15 spare which just fits (width wise), height of it is 27.4". I am thinking a 215/75-15 which is not quite as wide and is 27.8" tall (quite close to your tire) might fit.
