'73 hood??

I picked up some parts over the weekend and this hood kind of struck me funny when I was looking them over....

everything was claimed to be '73 charger
the doors had '73 tags, trunk lid at least had a charger emblem for confirmation

but this hood seems to have more of a point to it than it should, or am I seeing things???

Perhaps a Coronet?

Not Charger and probabaly earlier than 73 judging by the amount of louvers.

i dont' think it's that since there seems to be indents ~1/4 of the way across from both sides.. doesn't it?

The point doesn't seem as pronounced on the Coronet hood either.

good point... the guy i bought it from is partially at fault too. 

Glad I didn't have a use for that part.
