Ever See Cargo All Over The Road & Wonder How It Happened?

Here's one reason.

We buy the 5 gallon bottles of water for drinking & cooking at home & yesterday I had to stop to pick up another bunch of water bottles. I brought one in the house with me when I got home last night & planned to go back out for the other 6 after I ate dinner. I backed the truck up towards my basement door instead of pulling in forward to make unloading easier.

I sat down with a cold beer & forgot to get the water bottles after dinner.  (hint-hint)

I left the tail gate on the truck open all night & this morning when I was leaving for work I didn't notice the tailgate open since I was backed in & simply drove off. I'm on a dead end street, so I stopped at the end before pulling onto the main road. As I took off, the laws of physics took over & I heard loud banging & clunking noises. (WTF is that sound??) When I looked in the mirrors I saw a bunch of 5 gallon bottles of water rolling around the street breaking open & spilling all over. All but one fell out, & all that fell out, broke, except for one.   ::)

It was funny when I went back to the place that I get the water from & the woman at the counter said, "You just got water & you need more?"

I said "No, I'm here to replace all the defective bottles I got from you yesterday."

"Really? How many?" she asked looking confused.

She looked even more confused when I said "4 or 5, I'm not sure, I have to double check."

She followed me outside & I said, "You may not think they're defective, but they are because they spilled water all over the main road when they hit the pavement at 20 MPH."   :smilielol:

I had to eat the deposit on them but thought it was good for a laugh.  :D

Whew! I am glad that not one drop of the beer was spilled. THAT would have been terrible.
