Parking brake help - missing bracket?

I converted my 71 from a 727 to a TKO-600 5-speed a while back and when I went to reconnect the parking brake cable to wherever it connected under the transmission somewhere near where the crossmember is. I think there might have been some kind of bracket attached to the old transmission or crossmember, but I don't remember. Do any of you know what I'm talking about or what I'm missing or how to fix the situation?

Thanks!

Maybe some pics of someone's underside showing the parking brake cable in that area?

The factory crossmember has a couple of holes near the bottom that the front cable plugs into. Front hole is large enough to allow the cable housing flange to pass through and the rear hole is sized for the tip of the housing.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
