For those who don't know his car he has a beautiful 68 he's owned since high school and takes stunning photos of it.

Cool. Scott is a good Christian guy. We've done Charger cruises and car shows together. I told him he looked like the Charger driver in Bullitt, Bill Hickman. Just put on the right 1960's glasses and a suit and there you go.

I wouldn't call those comments hostile but maybe the comments are there because it implies that non Christians are not good/as good?  I think that's called profiling.

Anyway I couldn't care less what your religion is but it's a bit annoying to read stuff like that.  Non Christians are not lesser people.

I can see the seams clearly in those pictures, can you post the one where you can't?

guess thats one reason we should never label anyone. holy cow, so if im talking about a guys car and say hes one heck of a "good rock n roller", by your observation all the country music lovers should feel left out or less of a person in my mind.  people could use any statement about someone calling them good as long as it doesnt refer to religion and no one will care.

Ahh misread that, I thought you couldn't see the seams.  They're supposed to be visible.

Yeah...ok....talking about where the quarter panel meets the roof....where the lead(?) is....not the vinyl itself.

that seam was filled with a fibre-ish  putty type filler from the factory  ,  almost always look like that to a greater or lesser extent , unless it has been all dug out replaced at some time !!   only  factory non vinyl top cars got lead !!

Excuse me?  Cry baby?  So what is your problem?  The man asked why so hostile and I replied.   I don't appreciate being offended by you or anyone else.  Should I keep my mouth shut because it's your religion?  My opinion is worth as much as anyone else's.

Um, not quite. Of the three 68 Chargers I've pulled vinyl tops off of only one had filler. That one was a late (May) build. The other two are leaded just like my hardtop car. I believe this practice changed later on and, by the 1969 model year, they were all plastic filled under the vinyl. I'm sure there are a few threads discussing it.

You guys obviously don't have enough going on in your lives if you're worried/offended by the rest. Ridiculous. :eyes:

Bitching about the wrong color on a car is okay in this place but we should be fine with being insulted?  I sure hope you gest.

Anyway I'm done with this bs here, as usual there's no room for a civil conversation without being accused so I'll stick to Chargers from now on.

FastbackJon

I'm just catching up on this thread and I apologize if I offended anyone, that was not my intention. I was not trying to say or imply that Christians are better than non-Christians.

Because in reality, no one is righteous, no, not one, for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But the Lord is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish. And God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. And if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
