Bethlehem Plant stamp on car

When I picked up my hood and trunk lid from the media blaster the other week the owner said he uncovered a stamp on the underside of the hood and was careful not to destroy it. It says Bethlehem Steel, Lackawana Plant. Build date on my Charger is January 68. It appears to be the original hood. Thought it was kind of neat and maybe someone would know what the numbers mean.

chances are it is just a stamping that the steel plant put on the roll of steel that just happened to be in a place where it wasnt sanded or cleaned off when it went into the acid bath prior to the primer tanks.

Yeah, i knew it was an oddity. Just wanted to take a few pics and share before I sand it off when I prep the hood for primer.

That's still pretty cool!   

I would have thought that the blasting would have pulled that stamp off with it.
