Back in 1968, I had a buddy who owned one in that color except it was a slick-body (no vinyl top) that was a 383-4spd and I loved that car. We drove it all over KCMO then as I was stationed in Olathe after I returned from Vietnam. It definitely was not as fast as a 440 R/T but it was acceptably fast and fun to drive. I hope he gets close to the asking price as it looks like a nice Charger!

cdr

wow that is a very nice charger but 40,000 wow

If that car is as nice and tight as the pix lead you to believe, $37k is not over the top. :Twocents:

Schill bidding. CDN $ is at par BTW.

According to the fender tag and VIN#, it is a 383cid, 4-speed, 4 bbl carb - only 259 made in that configuration.  I think we have documented less than 20 on this site that are known to remain in existence.  So, the price in the condition it is in is not out of line.

One strange thing about the paint is that the bottom of the rocker panels aren't painted red all the way to the body edge next to the frame rails.  Don't know why they are black instead of the body color.

Here here.

There was quite the beautiful QQ1 383 4bbl 4spd with white interior that was All original one owner that went up on Ebay early last year in TX. April IIRC. Stopped at 29k.

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."

And yet they started over ar $200 with zero bids. :ahum: Way too many clowns on Ebay these days.

His Charger ad makes it appear that he's a private individual, but he is a dealer. Personally, I like this other car he's selling rather over the Charger, but I'm not much of an A-body guy.

How did I miss this thread?  :scratchchin:  Actually I have information on about 45 of the 259 '68 XP 4-bbl 4-speeds.

If you look at the bids that were  cancelled went all the way up to $39,000.
If it had a BIN of $40,000, that indicates to me that this was schill bid .
Who wouldn't take an offer only 3% off their asking price... :Twocents:
