More or less finished although I've concluded that cars are never really finished. Still have a few odds and ends to clean up, pesky alternator overcharge, but there looks like plenty of info on the site for that.

This site has helped a lot and many thanks to everybody for posting, it's my first car project and I don't think it I would have gotten this far without all the info I've picked up here.

So here it is, kind of a mix of origional, refurbished, and repro parts all in one.

You know, there is just something about a white interior that really looks good. My plan is to go with triple black because it just looks so damn good, but for some reason red with white interior, white vinyl top and a white stripe keeps popping in my mind.

Nice work, you should be proud!  :2thumbs:

Car color is HOK Cobalt Blue over black sealer. I brought the blue inside the car with paints I tinted myself along with the carpet dye which is in an earlier post. The interior is about 40-60 repro and repainted/refurbished parts. I fixed a lot of the vinyl parts with PVC pipe cement and made the pearl white paint with odds and ends from my old job.

Your Charger is looking beautiful and you must be very proud. I saw a Charger in Boerne at the CD meet that was B7 blue exterior with white interior a few years ago and it was stunning. Congratulations on a job well done.

Tilar:   my Charger was originally R6 Red with white interior, white vinyl top and white R/T stripe and it is getting finished up with all the original colors. It does appear to be a great color combo and I hope o have it on the street before too long.

:2thumbs:  :2thumbs:  Oh you're gonna hurt me aren't ya.   My 68 was originally red with red interior. I've been planning this build for years and have changed colors more times than I can count, but I've bought the black interior and vinyl top (although I cant find the top right now).

Ha,   black is a fantastic color combo too. I am just lucky to have an original color combo that I can live with and should look really nice together.

I had a tough time getting a vinyl top also and it took me about a year to get one in the right color (PEARL White, not just white) for mine. It was installed already when my painter noticed a little flaw in the paint on the passenger rear quarter and had to repaint it. Well, he got a tiny bit of paint on the top and tried to remove it and ended up taking the "pearl" finish off the top in that spot and it was just too noticeable for him. Had to order another top and I told him white would be just fine but he called Dante and discussed it and "pearl white" is supposed to be correct for a 1969 model although most people just put a white top on their restoration. However, my friend said nope, it had pearl from the factory, that is how we will restore it. Dante had to special order it and it should be here in a couple of weeks.

If you see one in pearl white vs. white, it IS apparent they are different as the pearl white has a different look to it. My pics in my update thread shows it with the top installed but it is really hard to see the pearl in a picture. Very apparent in person

Sorry for hijacking the original poster's thread as I still think his dark blue is stunning !!!

Black should be easier to get and you need to find the top. A triple black '68 Charger would be awesome.
