Does the pink wire connect to the front or plunger side of the switch? and the white wire to the connector that moves up & down? It is on a 74 Charger. Does it make a differance which wire is connected to the connectors on the switch?

I wouldn't think it would matter as it grounds to operate.

Incorrect,
it completes a circuit to provied B+ power utp to the turns signal switch  , then out to the brake lights

and , it makes no difference on which connector goes where

just for prefference, I use to plug the hot wire on the fixed prong. In case of the moving prong fail, won't short to ground ( or will be harder to short )

Both of the terminals are insulated from ground so the connection make no difference.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

BUT the moving prong could be prone to fail, getting worn the isolation due the friction ;)

nothing wrong anyway, is just about prefference
