Stance - do I need to adjust it?

We took the rear spring blocks out when we started to resto and it jacked the rear end up.  With the new tires and rims, is it too low in the front?  We can adjust the torsion bars and raise the front end or should we put the rear blocks back on?  Or do both - raise the front end and put the rear blocks back on?

I'd raise the front a touch and lower the rear till the car is just about level. The larger rear tires also ad to the raked look.

Exactly why I put blocks in my car as I don'tgo  for the jacked up look but thats just my opinion

Hi Carl, I'm not sure what you are doing but the NASCAR look should be quite a bit lower in the back and still lower in the front, you're about right for the late 60s & 70s street rod look, maybe even higher in the rear....... the stock look is higher in the front and lower in the rear........ I like the wheel lips just above the front tires and stock height in the rear, which is slightly lower than the front with equal size tires & with slicks it raises the rear just enough to sit level

Alternatively..........more specifically, I would lower the rear and buy tires that fit/don't rub much anyway.  If those are new leaf springs may want to find some old ones and put them in.

That's all spring out back? Those are definitely not stock arch. I would go with 1-1/2 to 2" lowering blocks in the rear and then riase the front to match the look that you want. I personnally like a little bit of rake from back to front.

Back - 15x10" rims - 275x60x15" tires

RallyeMike - I agree with you and the consensus of others.  Will put the 2" blocks back in and see how far it drops the rear.  Then adjust the bars up front if needed.  I want a little bit of a rake but not an extreme "Joe Dirt" look.

Hope you can make it with those 10's out back. Which wheel manf. is that? You'll need max backspacing on those rims no keep from rubbing the outside of the inner wheel well.

I'm in the process of putting new wheels and tires on my 69, and opted for 8" rims out back (4" BS) with the 275/60/15. I wanted to fit 10's for deep dish look, but it just was not in the cards. Also used 245/60/15 up front like you did.

But, I do believe the rear on the topic Charger should be lowered... It is too high...................
