Looks just awesome.  I went with the 245/45-17 on the 17X8 wheels.  I wanted to be sure everything fit.  Car is supposed to come back tomorrow and the wheels are at my house.  Tires at my local Discount Tire.  Can't wait!!!  :2thumbs:

Those are by far the best larger diameter interpretation if the Magnum currently available. I still don't think it scales up very well though. Maybe they'll grow on me.

Anxious to see the Rallyes now.

I actually have a set of Rallye's on order too! I prefer a Rallye on a 3rd Gen Charger over the 500. Guess I will have to find another car to stick these on when the Rallye's arrive!

For those running Tubular RMS front ends and Willwood brakes.

17X9" Magnums will not clear without a 1" bolt on hub spacer for a couple of reasons. First is the Willwood hub is 73mm and the 17" Cast Magnum rim is only 2 3/4" center bore, so there is interferance fitment with the center of the rim & hub. As well, the Willwood hub sticks out so far, you couldn't put the center cap on without fitment issues there too!
Even if those 2 things were to clear, the next problem is the 5" back spacing of a 17x9" rim. Because of the design of the cast rim, it steps up on the inside of the rim to increase strength of the rim. That causes the tie rod end to hit on the extra lip inside the rim.
I have a 17x8" cast Rally coming (That's when they are ready to ship from Year One.) That will be another month or so though yet :( Anyways because the hole in the center is larger in the cast rally rim as well as the cap, I am crossing my fingers they will both clear without a hub spacer. Also going to an 8" rim should give enough space to clear the tie rod end because of less back space. That should push that extra lip designed into the rim back far enough to clear the tie rod end! (I hope!)

1" universal hub spacer. I do not recommend this type of spacer. Get the 1 1/4" Trans Dapt 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" spacer instead. I have a pair coming for my own car. The Trans Dapt 4 1/2" spacer offsets the wheel studs evenly which works better for a 17" Year One cast Magnum or cast Rally setup. Reason being is there is recesses between the lug bolt holes on the back side of the Year One cast rims. So if you wheel stud sticks out slightly, it clears the back side of the rim just fine.

Setup without hub spacer.

REMEMBER THESE MEASURMENTS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE RUNNING RMS TUBULAR FRONT ENDS! CANNOT COMMENT ON STOCK OR OTHER FRONT ENDS!!!

I have a set on order, they expect to ship mid December. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see them until next year.

Tires showed up today.   nitto 450 275/50/17 rear,  225/50/17 fronts.

Bad news...  One of the 17x8 front wheels had a big ol 4 oz out of balance condition.   E-booger advised me to send it the F back and make them get me another one.  Probably an air pocket in the casting.   It's true (not bent or anything) but unless I have to,  I'd rather see what they say about it.  Naturally customer service at YO already went home by 4pm.  Gonna suck trying to call monday morning...  :brickwall:

Suckin'. Are you hub balancing or stud balancing?

Never heard it put that way  :shruggy:   I guess I would say hub.

Using E-boogers shop spin balancer.   It's something from a closed down shop and slightly dated but still works fine.   The 2 larger rears were under 2 ounces.  Not bad.    The other front came in needing .75 oz.       So we took the tire back off the suspect one and without a tire it was still 4 ounces off so...  eh.  Wait til Monday.

Just 6T9 CHGR

My road wheels from Specialty Wheels were specified to be balanced "lug centrically" & not "hub centriclly"

Took me a long time to actually find a shop that A--knew what I was talking about & B---actually had the set up to do it!!

The dude at YO just tried to give me a line about this also...    But they're taking the one wheel back and sending me another.

Funny how they don't give specific instructions on just how they want them balanced up front.   :Twocents:    I told him no matter what method we used wouldn't count for a 4 ounce off balance in a wheel.  I used to bubble balance 30 years ago and the only stuff that needed that much was truck tires or BLEMs.

Oh well... the M&B job is only costing to buy E-booger lunch the next time around.

Silly question, what is an acceptable amount of weight on a rim? Just curious. Thx
