Anyone have a tag with more than 1 stripe code? I see a lot of tags that dont have the side stripe code on the fender tag when there's another stripe like V21 or V8X. So I was wondering if a car was ordered with V21 AND V8X if both codes made it on the tag or not.

The answer to the question lies in whether or not LR coded V8X in the first place. Have you established that?
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Yes I have. I have a car with V8X and V6X on the build sheet but only V8X on the fender tag.

The question still stands I guess  :scratchchin:

I'm curious Ryan,

How many of these v21's have you chased down?  I recall you asking about them a year or so ago.

Don't know if this is what you are looking for but I have a 74 Rallye WH23P4A built in July of 74 at the Lynch Road plant and I have V21 and V6X on my fender tag.  Build sheet disintegrated long ago so I don't know what was on that.

Nope that's not mine.  Mine has a 727 Auto not a 4 speed.

Yeah, that's what I was looking for. Just picked up a 440 Rallye with only V21 on the tag but no side stripe code on the tag. This makes 2 Rallye cars like that in my collection, so I was curious if it was the norm.

Hey John, how're the 360 4 speeds?

I dont recall asking about V21 cars previously. I never really questioned it until grabbing this 440 car. None of my 360HP 4 speed cars were factory V21....although one has the V8X stripe (but no V6X on the tag, both codes on the build sheets)  ;)

:)   I think you were trying to chase down some white V21 with black top if i recall.

my yellow one is like Jhoop's... V21 V6X on the tag.  Still have it, focused my attention to another project I guess.

Ended up grabbing an FE5 U code Rallye instead to replace the 400 FE5 Rallye I sold.

Great example of a car built 'late'. 925 on the fender tag but an actual build day of October 10 on the door Mylar, always cool to see.  :yesnod:

My 74 Rallye is that way too.  611 on the fender tag but actual build day on the door is July 24 of 1974.  I just figured it was that way because it was built so late in the year.
