1968 RF brake line: under the frame or through the access hole?

I'm running the brake lines in the engine bay and it looks like the passenger side line (the one that runs across the firewall from the dist. block) is bent to go through the access hole above the framework. I've looked at some pictures here but so far all I'm seeing are '69s and I've got my suspicions that the '68s were different. Anyone got a pic of a '68 that's original or correct so I can see how it's supposed to run? I hope I didn't get a '69 line set that's different.

I took a couple pics for you, Curtis. Let me know if you want any more "expert" help.  ;)

Whoa! It doesn't get anymore "expert" than that. Thank you! So through the access hole it goes. :2thumbs: That will make life much easier.

FWIW
when i was ordering mine from  finelines  , they listed two for manual drum braked cars  right front going under the frame , or  the other through access hole  ,   have seen  both on 69s   :shruggy: but mine was through access hole :shruggy:

have seen a couple of 68s  under frame rail also  :shruggy:

terrible one

I've seen it both ways. My '68 was a power drum brake car and it the original line went under the frame rail.

Thanks.

:scratchchin: Well, I can't find any pics of the routing on my car before it got torn apart so rather than sweat it I'm just going to go with the flow and run it through the access hole. Since it can go either way it's not really an issue I guess.

Now I'm wondering if it's another one of those early/mid-late 68 quirks.
