I did a search and didn't find a thread on this.    I'm assuming most everyone here loves the Dodge Charger first and foremost.  But what about a #2 car?   My 2nd fave pick is the '71/'72 RoadRunner/GTX.   I might even take a Satellite :)  There's just something about these cars.

In all honesty, the Charger is my 2nd favourite car (not just Mopar) - '69 Charger to be exact - which is why I'm on this forum. I will own one eventually.

My my first & foremost favourite though, and currently owned, is a '70 Challenger.

Mine is a 70 Cuda. I've owned 3 of them. Someday, I hope to have another one.

Yes my 70 Cuda's lots of fun. It always gets plenty of attention when I take it out. The fact that it's limelight helps.  :yesnod:

Thanks 71ChallengeHer, Limelight is our (wife and me) favourite colour in the Cuda's. Mine's a 440 with pistol grip.
I think more often than not we regret selling them.

My favorite would be '71 Charger R/T with a '70 Challenger running an extremely close second - as in almost tied for first. Third would be a '71 RR or GTX.

My second favorite would be an AAR, followed closely by 68-70 Roadrunner/GTX. Here's a picture of my AAR along with my 70 RT-SE from last summer. Not long after this photo the Charger developed an oil pressure problem that we couldn't solve. The motor is now a friends shop getting a total rebuild. The AAR went in last fall after I finally got tired of looking at the warped hood. What started as an aftermarket hood and a touch up of the flat black that was having some issues has now moved into some metal replacement and a total paint job. Hopefully I'll be driving both these by mid June :yesnod:! Also a shot of the AAR just out of the booth a couple weeks ago, can't wait to get it back!

Hey Cooter,

It cannot be "triple black" if it is a vinyl top delete!  Ha.

I remember years ago I read an article about a 1968 Roadrunner , solid black with that trademark taxicab woven vinyl black interior , numbers-matching and all original looking 426 , 4 speed , dana 4:10 , and not much else that someone had bought in Europe for 42k and was having it shipped over to him. This was back when 42K was an outrageous sum for even a Hemicar. That car was then and still is, my dream car.

Probably would actually be my "first" choice !!

Still a Charger, but a '69 Charger 500 is one that I'd like to own someday.

My other favorite is a '71 Road Runner (damn, I miss my old one). Right on par with that is a '70 Super Bee. I'm one of the few that thinks the nose looks mean as sh*t.  :yesnod: :drool5:

Hotrod98 has a black Bird which is one sweet car, I would take that one too. I never get tired of seeing his car. .  . . heck this may even be my favorite Mopar and a 69 Charger in second.

Tough question  :scratchchin: but if I have to choose it would be a 69 Roadrunner.
68 Charger, slowly in the works, 451 c.i. approx. 535 hp @ the flywheel, so far best time in the 1/4
11.21 @ 119 mph, full exhaust, stock suspension, 4:10s @ 3640 pounds.

green69rt

If I get my Charger done then the next car I would get is a 383 Dart.  Not asa sexy as the Charger but something about it just makes me want to get one, tub it out and put a screamin 383 bored and stroked 383 or 440 in it and use it as a street bandit.  Who would suspect??

Difficult question.  Either a '97 Viper GTS coupe or a Coronet R/T...

I don't know that I have really decided what my first favorite is yet..... have owned many over the years, and all have had a special meaning to me. '66 Hemi Charger, '71 GTX, '67 & '69 GTX drop tops, '67 Coronet R/T (both a hardtop & a 'vert).... always had a hankering for a winged car, an E-body convert.... I just can't decide!  :shruggy:
74 Charger SE, 400 HP, 4-speed

Dino

I have been thinking about this for a while now...and I can't really come up with anything.  If I would buy another classic I'm not sure it would be a mopar so I never really thought about it.  I like certain aspects of certain cars.  The 70 Superbee comes to mind as does a Roadrunner but I forgot which year, it's a taillight thing.  Cuda's and Challengers are nice and of course 1st and 3rd gen Chargers but I would probably end up with a 69 or 70 Chevelle or a 67 GTO.  I dunno, I got my dream car so I can do without another.  My wife would love a Chevelle and I'd be more than happy to find her one!
