Mine is the "City of good living."

Neighboring city is "Climate best by government tests"

Which city is that?

Well, when I was in the US it was San Carlos. Great place to live but too expensive. Neighboring city was Redwood City but it was pretty sleezy.

Bit of a catch 22 then.................The city of good living is too expensive to live in.  :eek2:  Seems like these days you need to strike it rich in order to live good. Otherwise the best you can do is just live! :yesnod:

Probably why it was the city of good living. It was only middle class but the riff raff stayed away.

Quoteit rains 80% of the time in seattle,

It never stops raining. Don't move here.

That's what we told people anyway (It didnt work).

There are lots of cities that get more rain (inch total per year). What Seattle has in "often" rain, but the volume per day is usually light. The rain isnt really all that bad. What gets to you is the overcast skies and high humidity (solid clouds for weeks on end, with no sun in sight). In Seattle they actually report "sun slowdowns" on the traffic reports. Yep - The sun pops out for a hour or two and traffic backs up from everyone looking at it.
WTF is that orange thing in the sky?  :o

I still remember my cousins from Kansas visiting and the sky was solid overcast (featureless solid gray) horizon to horizon as it often is. The looked up and said what the hell is that?!

I was there for work last August (I've been there a few times before, usually it was murky) and we had about 500 people travel in for a conference.   It was 60-75 degrees the whole week, the sky was nearly cloudless, you could see Mount Rainier from Bellevue without even trying that hard.   In short, gorgeous.   Most of the people I travelled with had never been there before and kept saying 'OMG look how pretty it is here, I think I will move here'

I still love the area, but we just happened to pick the most beautiful week you guys have had in probably decades :)

Your convention hit our one good week...

Let the others know they better like grey and cold.  Not even to mention the 4th worst traffic in the country...

I live in Honolulu. Great food! Best weather on the planet! Beautiful beaches. Beautiful mountains. Beautiful oceans. Lots of gorgeous girls wearing not much clothing. Yes it really is paradise, but the cost-of-living will eat you alive!  :yesnod:

I'm originally from Washington, DC though. The land of back-stabbing, cork-screwing, and dirty-dealing! It's not really like what y'all have heard about it. It's much worse!!!  :o

DEADMONTON.

Yup, it's pretty dead here.  Deadly too in the winter.  Or highway 63.
