NOS 69 SPORT SATELLITE DECK LID FINISH PANELS... there are around 10 of these still on boxes.

Forgetting the shipping charges, in your opinion how much can be sold ?

I know if they were GTX they would be HIGHLY PRICED, but Sport Satellite, dunno

not just the emblem, GTX are painted inside the depressions

even being "the same" if you offer a NOS piece like GTX and need to paint then doesn't have sense to get a NOS piece what need to be correctly finished

if you find your market, ship the whole batch at once to a trusted DC.COM friend that can sell them off. that way shipping would be drastically cut down. i wonder what they would bring at mopar nationals. or carlisle ?

Changing them for a GTX is a bit more work than most believe. When the repops came out it killed off some of the market for NOS +/or mint used originals 'to a small degree'.

On a GTX - the 2  center depressions are black And smooth. these are silver and textured - there-for requires stripping the center depressions and repaint.( not as easy as it sounds )
the small center pinstripe on a gtx is red, sport satellites are black, again scuff and repaint

Now, the worst part.

There is no correct repop GTX nameplete being done. And once you remove the sport satellite name plate it leaves a ghost shadow where it was that the GTX nameplate does not cover.(when new  they were assembled while the paint was still reasonablly wet )

Now, that said, being something of a known source for 1969 GTX parts,(hence the user id )  If the price is right and I can swing it  I might consider them all

pm me if it's of interest

. ps. if listed seperately, no 2 will sell for the same price. I'm guessing but I would dare say the last one would sell for about half what the first sold for

not a problem for me I have plenty of room and if they pay pal you the money all u will own me is what ever the fed ex bill will be from me to them 10 or 20 bucks i'm guessing anywhere in the U. S.  , I have plenty of bubble wrap and boxes here ....

Nacho, I think your best bet is to let Stuart distribute them here inside the USA!  :2thumbs:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

BIGBLCK11

Definitely way better to ship within the U.S., but the cost will still be more than $10-20.  I paid $40 to ship a 70 Charger finish panel in a rigid tube.  They are oversized and once you add materials to make it rigid, it will weigh a lot more than the panel itself.  Not to mention the cost of the tube or box.  The Nats or Carlisle also seems like a great, one-shot deal to sell them.  :Twocents:

Old Moparz

Several years ago I was outbid on ebay for an unpitted, very clean, very shiny, used one from the southwest USA. I think it went for over $400 or so.   :rotz:

Metro Parts sells reproductions that look nice for around $600 to $650.

I would love to get one for the back of my car that isn't a crusty, pitted, flaking chrome one like the one I have, but that ain't gonna happen unless I hit the lottery.

Hi... yes, I'm getting them ready to shipp them to Stuart. I'm searching for a BIG BOX to make a second cardboard skin for extra protection. Haven't been able to find a big enough box. Everything is packed up but just got the one is made like first box. Fedex guys told ma about get an extra cardbox skin on them

I already have 2 with sale pending, and ONE in the middle of negotiation with a member of this beloved board ( and good friend I met at Carlisle 2008 )

but I got 14... shame not everyone is in pristine conditions. 2 are "baddly" pitted. I mean "baddly" because they are really shine and everything but the pitted areas are really bad. Mostly got small pits, allmost unnoticeable BUT still something won't let me sell them as perfect pieces.

here are the pics:
http://imageshack.us/g/822/img1233r.jpg/

every front view panel begins a new series of pics of same panel ( one pic didn't came out, but is not important, is the rear view which is perfect ). I didn't take pics of the Goods because is OBVIOUS being NOS they are shine and perfect, but took pics of the BAD SPOTS which is what will determinate the final price.

I'm expecting between $400 for the worst ( maybe number 13 less ) and $800 for the perfects, being $600 mostly of them... INCLUDING SHIPPING

Numbers 11 and 12 are already on sale pending, which are the best ones. Number 6 is allmost perfect but got small cracks on one end... just on outer edges. Mostly sure allmost unnoticelable once mounted.

There are also 2 NOS 70 satellite lower grilles, but one will go to somebody I know around ;). Argent finish need to be refinished. PN were wrote with a sharpie by the dealer... and got some peels offs by storaging.

NOS doesn't mean pristine :(, just never used

Honestly I can't see something hard on that. The red pinstripe is fairly easy. The textured paint remove, yes can be some tiresome, but I don't think hard, just patiente.

The emblems shadow... dunno. I haven't got the courage to remove one and check for that, just in case I break an emblem stud.

Paul who we have one sold to and is pretty picky said he has done the satelite to GTX panel transition before and it was fairly easy .   :Twocents:  BTW he has gotten two different repop panels now at like over 1000 buck and was not at all happy with them and sent them back
