Gauge cluster...another one

Just replaced my dash harness with a new m&h, and now my gauges and headlights don't work. The front marker lights and tail lights go on, but not the headlights. Turn signals work fine. Headlights and gauges worked fine before the new harness. The gauge cluster lights didn't work before the swap, but now some do.

The m&h harness had a round connector for the fuel gauge, temp, oil pressure, turn signals, and oil light. I pulled the wires out and put them into the flat connector, and separated the turn signal lights out of the connector for my 69 charger. I believe that the wires are in the correct order. They were in the wrong order when I first installed them.

Am I missing a ground or some other obvious problem?

Thanks

Does anyone know how the gauge cluster gets grounded?

If it is not grounded, I guess the gauges would not work?

On a new m&h harness, where does the yellow with black stripe get connected?

Thanks for your help.

The gauge cluster is grounded by attaching it to the dash frame with the five screws.  If it's not in then it's not grounded.  If you want the cluster out to test then simply hook up a wire from cluster frame to dash frame.  Be aware that if any of the amp meter wires touch the frame you will have a boatload of trouble so be careful!

I am sorry but don't know anything about the new harness, is it not the same as stock?  If so I can check the manual and will get back to you.
