Am I the only one that finds Steven Tyler creepy?

I used to be a fan of the band Aerosmith. Their early work is still great. I just have a problem with how Steven Tyler looks and acts. Come on, man... Isn't this guy in his 60s? We see women in their 50s dressing in a miniskirt and have trouble holding down our lunch, so how is it that this guy gets a pass?
Hey.. I'm not trying to bash the elders or the elderly. I just think that at some point, a person needs to quit wearing leather pants, dying their hair purple or ogling 17 year old girls.
Just one mans opinion. YOURs may vary.

nope, i feel the same way
was a big fan, but now its creepy.
is his face sliding off his head...  :eek2:

Huh, not me.  I think he's kinda cool, especially for his age.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I find it inspirational.  It means my version of not growing up actually has dignity. :icon_smile_big:

Don't hate, Appreciate. If you could be bangin' 17 Y/O girls at his age you'd do it too. Steven Tyler is who he is, because he IS who he is...I mean, damn, did anyone expect any less? It's Aerosmith's front man for goodness sake.

It's not just ST...   most of the acts from my youth that are still clinging on are downright creepy.

Way past his expiration date as his the band.

Honestly, these guys jumped the shark a long time ago.

Love in an elevator? Dude looks like a lady?  :eek2:

Sad that a band that produced stuff like "Toys in the attic" and "Last Child" had been producing this shite for the pay day for a couple decades now.

He's a local guy so maybe we get more than our fair share of him....   :shruggy:

myk

He's an uber-legendary rocker, so that's his pass in life and I agree with it; if he asked to borrow my significant other or daughter I would have to say yes.  I will say that I don't pay attention to what celebrities and other musicians do outside of their work; I usually despise their antics and certainly their typically left-wing agendas, so maybe Tyler has extended his welcome in some regards.  I disagree with the comment about their later works though; A-Smith is one of those rare groups where I believe that all of their work is awesome, IMO.  I enjoy the classics as well as the MTV-generation stuff...

aerosmith  :scratchchin: i grew up with aerosmith. grand funk railroad too they were a bit harder in their earlier days, but i still love to hear the rock music by these guys.you wanna see something scary, take a gander at a band like the stones on stage with their age. the worst part is that hangy down stuff under their arms that shakes when they raise their arms and pump their fists while wearing their wife beater tee's. :rotz:

Seems like most bands creative juices expire after four albums. In Aerosmith's case that would make "Rocks" their last great album, which I would say is true.
My sister still loves Aerosmith and Tyler and is going to see them this summer. I don't find Tyler creepy. More like weird or eccentric.

Just heard an interview with Brad Witford. Said they just recorded a new album the old fashion way. Wrote the songs, went into the studio and basically recorded it as a live studio album.

It's relative.  Compared to the average Joe?  Yeah he's creepy.  Compared to Keith Richards?  No not at all, he looks fabulous!

Ya a little creepy looking and acting, but the guy is a rock star. Call it "eccentric". It goes with the territory. Aerosmith can still put on a show. I saw them about 4 years ago and they sounded great (at least the older stuff), including Tyler.

Speaking of creepy old men  :eek2: Some of us middle agers have enough restraint to understand that a 17 yo is the daughter of someone who is your peer. Ew.

Now 18, That's ok.

Completely agree, "Rocks" was their last great album. I remember a few years ago when they publicly complained that WAAF wouldn't play their new stuff which consisted of movie soundtrack powerballads. AAF responded that when they wanted to start playing rock again, they'd start playing it.

Yep, he's a creeper.   Now on the other hand, Liv Tyler...... :drool5:

Liv takes after his Dad in the "girlish" looks department doesn't he.  You did know that Liv is a man, right??   :D

Being a rockstar inherently means you cannot age well.  It's only a matter of how far you're gonna fall.
