From Mega Parts, they reinforce the door skin by backing it. They are nice thick steel plates, they have them for side mirrors also.  :scratchchin:
Just in time for my repairs!

Good thing to have. What do they cost? Thanks.
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.

Off eBay (item # 160783597560) 24.99 + 6.35 ship = 31.34 for both.

I used those as well, Neal!  :2thumbs:

Tip: Make sure that the backside of the door is smooth where it mates against (i.e. make sure there are no undercoating globs, etc.). If so, it may cause bumps and/or damage to the outside door panel then as you tighten them. Don't overtighten either!
They also say to give it a coat of liquid urethane on the backside, I ended up using clear silicone. This will help hold them in place, and take up any "space" of an irregular surface on the inside of the door.

They worked VERY nicely, I was pleased.

I have "bad spots" right there at the holes so for me they will form the base of the repair.  :scratchchin:
If the door skin was cherry I don't think I'd use the p. adhesive.
The ones for the mirrors are 19.00 each, that may need to wait...

What a good idea. After seeing the pics I just made my own. Very easy. Next I'll make plates for the outside mirrors.  :2thumbs:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.
