Anybody??

Don't have a pic, so will attempt to describe best I can. What is the little metal piece sticking up behind the engine mounts welded to the K Frame on a 1972 Challenger?(One on each side) They stick up all in the way when I have a BB with headers and I don't want to cut them out if they serve a valuable purpose. I've Never seen these on any of my other cars (B-body)...

Hope I described well enough.

if they are the bits , i'm thinking of !!  seen them on a few 72 73 74  E-bodies   no set pattern ,  why some cars had them & others did not !! ,  don't serve any purpose , that i can think of , Cut them off    ,    but , don't cut anything off till  we compare pictures , just in case  were talking about different things
