Here are some pics of a rotisserie I just finish building. Yes, I know its made of wood. Trust me, its rugged built. It didn't even flinch when I lifted the Charger. It has been up there for about 3 weeks now and no signs of fatigue of any kind. If anyone needs the measurements, let me know or I will probably sell it when I am done using it. I have maybe $300 in it all. Bolted up without any issues.

Now that is redneck!! but I like it other than you can't roll it around.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Hey sometimes you gotta get a little red to make things happen on a budget.... I didn't need the added expense of casters for mobility. The car will sit right there until its done.

it works, and its easier to work on the bottom like that.  :2thumbs:

Thanks.....Definitely alot easier. It will rotate 360 degrees, so I can put it exactly where I need it.

Very nice!  I don't think you can build one out of steel for that price.  Good job man!   :2thumbs:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Thanks guys........I had my doubts about using the lumber, but the more I thought everything through, the more it seemed the easiest(cheapest) route.  I should have been way past this point of my build by now, but you know the story...Got settled down, married, we had a couple of kids. Things like that tend to put the brakes on a project, but maybe this will be the year to make some big progress on a long time coming resto. Looking forward to the next few weeks, I am planning on installing door hinges, subframe connectors, torque boxes and finishing up some welding and seam sealing and finally undercoating on the bottom.

Yes you can!

I just built my rotisserie out of steel and cost me $150 for consumables (cut off discs, welding rods and paint).

Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid!

Subframe connectors are in. The rotisserie sure paid off for this installment. Hope to install some torque boxes in the next few weeks.

They look good on there don't they?  Doing it from lumber would never have occurred to me.
