Cause if it's real, not only does it harken back to a different time, but it's simultaneously HILARIOUS:

If I was him, I'd be mentioning marriage a lot more than once. Come to think of it, I just realized that my seats have never been cleaned.  I'll be showing this ad to my wife.
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.

Show her this ad, mention her cleaning the seats and she might just show you the door :nana:  Wait a minute, if that works I should be showing my wife this ad :yesnod:

1970 Challenger convertible 340/727

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

Yeah dude needs to get on that.   She helps detail his car AND doesn't leave him despite the fact that he looks like Hank Azaria and Sean Connery had a love child and dressed it up in a mock turtleneck...

Yes, this was a true ad run by Dodge for the 69 Chargers

It must have been rather cool as the jacket she is wearing is a man's jacket and it can't be the guys in the image (I hope anyway) as it doesn't really go with his clothing.

Yeah that's pretty funny, but I guess that was a different time altogether!!!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

"He lets me pick out the stereo tapes. And clean the vinyl buckets."

Lets her clean the seats?

It's right up there with the "Mother Warned Me" ad (NOT the version with the prospector dude).

Here is the "Mother Warned Me" ad (complete with 68 fuel cap  ;D) for anybody not familiar with it.

Ghoste

Yes, not as blatant as the first one but sexist nonetheless and I love them both for it.   (and the 1970 Charger tv ad :icon_smile_wink:)

Shirley that's not the first 60-70's pic you've ever seen?  By the looks of some of their clothing, I can' believe they knew what fashion or good fashion was.   ;)
