I'm just watching 'Bubba's World' on Speed channel right now and I keep seeing a commercial for a show called 'Car Warriors' that debuts on February 23rd. Appearentley its about 2 teams of people who have to essentially overhaul a car each in 72 hours. In the commercial they showed the teams having a 64-65 Mustang each but they also showed a primered grey '69 Charger. Should be interesting if they do two Chargers :yesnod: I also saw a primered grey '72 Duster in the background.

The other Charger is a '70. It was at Sema I believe. Black with a redish/orange stripe going down the center of the car and around the front bumper. I plan on watching it.

I'm not positive this is the same car, but it does look like it anyway.

I find it hard to believe you can overhaul a car properly in 72 hours.

Chip Foose was doing it on his show in 7 days and with 50 people working on it they still were not able to properly complete the car and give it back to the owner.

If you do it in 72 hours you are going to have nothing more than a polished turd.

I will probably watch a show or two for a good laught.

TruckDriver

I thought the same thing actually. They would almost have to be taking a lot of short cuts, and thats never good.

No it has not.

I read somewhere that this show is staged, and not real as far as the 72 hour thing goes.  :rotz:

I only watched the first one with the Mustang's, and saw enough. It's more arguing then anything else.

They're doing a 74 Challenger now.

Jim Shine said these old 318 engines had smog pumps and other smog stuff.  :shruggy:

Don't recall any smog pumps on 318, only a recirculating exhaust port in the manifold.

Looks like a bunch of chebbi people destroying a Dodge.

Just welded up the fuel door...  :P

It was a easy call on the winner.
I would not want to drive a car with leaf springs removed.
And why would you not want a 440 with Dual quads.

It would been really nice and proper to have the engine bay body color but with the amount of work and the time frame I think just painting it black was acceptable.
