Are AMD reproduction bumpers any good? Mine are very rough and AMD can be had for less than replating mine.

:popcrn: I'd like to know too. $375 for the rear vs $1000 to re chrome it locally. No option with the 70 front bumper.

$1000? Whoa. There's local company that quoted me $360 for bumper and $75 for bumperettes

I've heard the Amd bumpers are not as thick as the original and the chrome isn't comparable with a triple plate re chrome.

They are very nice driver quality bumpers. If you want show chrome, they are not the way to go. But, in my humble opinion, far better than some of the replaters out there. If you get a cheap price for a re-chrome, you're probably getting a cheap re-chrome. It's the nature of the game today, quality chrome work is expensive.

Look up Tri City Plating in Elizabeth TN I use them for all my bumpers. Most bumper run around $400 but the chrome is very good and comes with a lifetime warrenty.

I use Verne's Chrome plating here in Hawthorne, CA -  Bob Barnes is awesome and does a LOT of work on Pebble Beach cars -
