Left blinker stopped working

On the way home last night my left blinker stopped working out of nowhere.  The right works fine.  I recently installed the hood blinkers so I'll check that wire/blub again in case it is throwing the side out but could my flasher/relay have bit the dust?  I didn't think it could die for just one side.  The blinker switch in my column is new so that should be ok.

Thoughts?

Make sure the housing is grounded to the hood well. I had the same problem after installing my new blinkers a few years back.

Take a bit of emery cloth to the bulb barrel and the housing itself, once clean put a thin coat of dielectric grease on the bulb barrel. Check the ground and you should ge blinkin again.

possible switch failure would be first guess.....bulbs & grounds usually don't fix themselves.....
