I'd have to agree, however I feel that Wayne Gretzky is the all time greatest hockey player.  I've grown up watching these two men play, again thanks for all of the memories!

It is a toss up.I watched them both when I was growing up too but I live 25 miles from Pittsburgh so I kind of lean to Mario. No offense to the Great One.

See... being the Canadian like Wayne makes him my all time favorite although they were both very good players.

THE COLONEL

Yeah, it was a sad day in hockey.  I was very fortunate enough to see some of his most memorable games. His 600th goal, his 1000th assist, his last "regular" season game, and last game in the playoffs (when he retired the first time) when he scroed on a breakaway with 1:04 left in game 4. We all knew that would be his very last home game, because the pens were down 3-1 in the series, and of course the Flyers won the next game in Philly to end the season. I saw his comeback after he retired the first time, and I got to see one of his five goal games. He only scored five goals, three different times in his career. The one I was at was against the St. Louis Blues. That game was like an All-Star game in itself. I got to see Mario, Jaromir Jagr, Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, and Grant Fuhr on the same ice together at one time. He had 7 points that night, 5 goals and 2 assists. My grandmother and I also went to Monteal, where she grew up, to see him play against the Canadiens. It also was his last game in Montreal before he retired the first time. What a standing ovation they gave him. It brought tears to my eyes. It was certainly a thrill. I will never forget any of those games.

I could go on and on, but I will spare you all the agony.

I'm old school I guess......I was always a big Bruins fan.  Bobby Orr was my Favorite.
