How does the Fender Tag last # correlate with the Vin #?

The fender tag last number is the 'vehicle shipping number' and it matches what's on my radiator support etc (any other areas?).

Should that same number match the Vin # last digits?  I am thinking of buying an XS29 car but those 2 number confused me, I thought they would/should be the same??

All the options/colours etc match the fender tag.

If you are talking about a 69 then yes, if you are talking about a 68 then no.

There are lots of threads here about the '68's idiosyncrasies (vin versus S.O. number). Do a search!  ;)

And if you cannot find any I'll post a few links.  :yesnod:

You can stop hitting me now....  ;)

Dan

Why, you & Troy get together & build the '68 Registry?  I thought that was the reason he was supposed to be pestering you.

Does it have all the cruise stuff?  What are your plans for that stuff?  There's a itty bitty link on the end of a throttle cable.  IIRC, it's called the "travel link".   That's the only piece that's keeping me from having a complete cruise set up for my factory equipped cruise car.

I will check my throttle cable, but it looks like a normal little cable.  I will get  pics for you by Monday.

I have BIG plans.  Errr, well, get it running and driving.  I hope.  I still have done nothing to the 69 so falling a little behind :)

69finder, This sold ebay part is what 472 R/T SE is looking for (thought a pic might be of help).

472 R/T SE, In the last 2 or 3 years I have gotten enough parts off ebay to install cruise on my 69 Charger and a friend's 70. What worked well for me was doing a search for "mopar cruise" every few days. After the first search, I would sort by "newly listed" to save going through all the results.

Two other suggestions; contact the seller of the one above to ask if he has another one and the seller of the cruise cable below says he has other cruise parts so you could check with him.

Hope you find one!  :2thumbs:
