Good place for the switches, good idea - beats fighting with the dash loom to get it installed up there, plus I reckon new style switches have no place they look correct on in an factory type dash.

not much,, been tryin to sell my iroc z but not having any luck,until it sells i am stuck. lots of tire kickers & people that want it for nothing,the public is getting really difficult to deal with,people say they will be here at 6:00 no show & no call  i might just have to give it away lol.

i'll be honest,i dont like the look of the switches,but i need them illuminated & i have some nice led ones, but this works on a common power, separate grounds for lock up & od ,the leds wont light up wired backwards oh well.

oh thank god... i just said they looked good to be nice, i actually think they look like cheap ass  ... nah just kidding, i like tacky  you should see my current dash projects, i raided the local ricer shop for toggle switches i dont even have any use for some of them  ... i'll post pictures on my thread when im finished

And there are a lot colder places than Michigan.... like the states in the central plains,,, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Iowa, where it is common to be below zero.......... nothing worse than the wind!

Got down to 32 at my house, between the unheated garage and my thin blood and the holidays, not much getting done.  Now over to my thread to post....

well i have no money to spend on the charger, soooooo  to keep myself with something to do i decided to fix some of my screw ups,on almost every thread that i have seen,they have amd 1/4 panel fittment of the same nature. 1.around the rear window,,that just a cut & fit,slice,scream,yell & get mad,the others are,2.the 1/4 horse shoe lookin end cap that looks like this

it seems everyone says the panel is made wrong,well i made the same mistake & now have found whats wrong,in the picture you can see i had to cut out my welds & in the area of the pry bar needs to go out,the top & bottom of panel are still welded. i had to move it out 1/4 in

moral of the story is dont weld up this part with out fitting the end cap & dont be afraid to pry on the 1/4 panel.

3rd is the lower 1/4 end caps,seems they dont fit,everyone slices them & adds metal at the cap to 1/4 seam,well my car was untouched in this area & what i found is,the factory welded the cap on the 1/4 before installing it,then hang the panel,then to get the cap fit correct they would twist the end of the rear cross member,right where the end cap welds on,most people have to replace this cross member & they are straight & their original was rusted & gone & did not know that the ends had been hit in or twisted from the factory on MOST cars .no slicing on mine,they fit great.

My old original end caps went right on with no problem but the lower quarter end caps were a nightmare to get right! Too much time spent "fixing" what was supposed to be a correct repro part!

thats the reason for this post,if you twist the very end of the cross member the caps fit great!!!!
