Found a 1968 dodge charger built sheet in my 69 charger rear seat very rare $600 if it belongs tO your car and you can prove it in less you have mine we can do a straight trade cheers

On moparts there is a section called lost and found where people post Build Sheets,engines,fender tags ect.

I keep trolling for mine hoping to come across it one day.

People are really greedy anymore. They think its worth so much more because of it. Similar to the guys who find the original engine to a car and try to sell it back for 5k more than its value.

Wow, yeah that is ridiculous. I love how he words it like, only if you can prove it goes to your car will you be given the opportunity to purchase it for $600. If you don't have the car, you probably have to pay $1,000

Someone please tell him you have his sheet, then ask for his fender tag to 'prove it'.   Go to the build sheet creator and dummy one up, then swap.   I'd say trickery in exchange for douchebaggery is fair and square

Yes, "owner" is the operative word here. I don't think what this guy is doing is legal. I don't think you can hold someone's found property ransom, can you? Wouldn't this be kind of like charging someone $600 to get their car title, drivers license or social security card back?

You're sweet for saying so.    Another option is to send the build sheet to Barry Washington at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/. He does a great job reuniting owners with their lost paper.

...not if he is taking time to go to the Spring Fling in La La Land this weekend.    Actually I'll be seeing the boss this Friday to hand off some Cali parts to him so I know it shouldn't be a total lost weekend.

yeah ,  i would never dream of charging the owner of the car for his original sheet , same as if i had someones original motor ,  just replace it & its yours  , were all mopar buddies after all

this makes me mad,when the 68 registry gets going this vin needs to be black flagged
