Ok, I mean this in the nicest, most warmest welcomest way.  Roll out your crap!  :)  Who owns the rattiest/crappiest Chargers that are running/driving here?

I come from a different car background (VW's, don't kill me!).  They are into ratty looking cars/buses and it's ok.  Patina is interchangeable with rusty shit boxes.  I notice in the mopar/muscle car world, it's shiny cars or don't bother, but there's gotta be a few crossovers right?

Anyone wanna share??

At one time I know I had the ratties 67 Dodge Charger  :yesnod:. Sold it years ago.

Just read that whole thread, and WOW!  I LOVE IT!!  Thank you!  I love the variety here you guys are alot of fun :)

I had some pre concieved notions (which were proven wrong) about American Muscle cars and the people that own them.  All of them have been proven wrong and I am very happy to know that in my old age, I can still learn new things :)

The ratty looking cars seem to hold alot of charm for me (again, excuse my background).  Keep 'um coming!!

Too bad we hadn't met at that point. That's a pretty epic story.

Now thats freaking cool, we see too much NICE chargers etc, but to see one all ragged up and road warrior ready thats a true gem....its a gem because we know deep down inside we can restore it while driving it and making a diamond along the way by shinning it slowly through the years if you get my drift...

I fixed the syntax for you Paul - still loved how you fixed up the ol' C500, but you've got a great ride now for sure.

I like the pocketrocket 500 too, that is great, I like the effort and willingness to take it to a big show.

Clearly I am mid life old man, I like the beater description taking me back to a kid in the 1970-80s.

RUMOR has it that in those times, people drove cars without shiny paint!  And rust?  And dents? And they used to swap parts, paint cars garish colours.

But that's just a rumor I heard...

When you were putting this car together for the trip, this was my favorite thread on the board! I followed it everyday.

:drool5: :drool5:  That is cool, I like the subtle either missing or intentional no bumper guards and the paint is just right with some nice patina going on.

I honestly have you guys beat. C500`s floors and trunk DON`T look like this!

MINE IS rusty, crustyer. My floors are GONE as well..... But I just drove it to the station. I just rest my foot on the torsion bar. If you want pics for proof, let me know. Yeah the 500 is neater but mine is worse plus I don`t give a rats ass about it if I take it some place lol. Mine is worse. Just got it running after 20 years inside storage, still using the crappy tank. It is a wonder it hasn`t fallen off yet....

Hey, at least the ignition switch light, trunk light, reverse light , brake, tail and headlights work I guess lmao.

Frankie wins this thread hands down......................

And I back up the running and driving statement by taking it to various Mopar and Charger shows to stink the place up!  Our fearless leader Troy has went for a ride and the legendary Chryco Psycho has rode in Frankie as well!!!!

Too bad 70's aren't part of this post. This 70 RT (matching numbers drivetrain, original sublime car) looked like it was dead, but I actually drove it from one storage place to another. I traded it off 6 years ago & looks like I am getting it back this weekend ( and it still looks the same !).

Mine's not too ratty or crappy, but it's no show queen either!  She features most of the original sheet metal, never rusted out, but over 40 years of dents and dings were removed, so the metals a little wrinkled, and there are lots of drill holes.  She is currently painted etch primer pea green!  She was a 383/console auto car, now a 440/four speed.

When I bought the Charger the front bumper was missing so I bought this cheap fiberglass one to fill the gap.
Thanks for the nice commends guys.
