Cool pics. Was that a Mustang rental car?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

"Liberalism is a disease that attacks one's ability to understand logic. Extreme manifestations include the willingness to continue down a path of self destruction, based solely on a delusional belief in a failed ideology."

The one with just the road and the other one with the crop is simply amazing.........I have never seen land so flat and with NOTHING in the way in person.

Id love to make a trip as well to see that.

Great pics Mike.

Yes.  I had a silver hardtop for a while and then swapped it for a red rag-top.

Good cars!

My Wife was going to come with me and I had said that she was more than welcome however I did warn her about 6-7 hours at a time in the car.  Bringing Kristina (my 2 yo) was not really an option.  Yes, the scenery is beautiful and far different from what we are used to seeing in this part of the continent but it can get very boring despite being interesting.  Does that make sense?  I very rarely take the interstate if I am not in a hurry.  I break up the day by stopping at salvage yards (not her idea of fun) and take photos along the way.  I also smoke cigars and listen to the comedy channel on the Sirius radio.

I find the desert very interesting and the ag photos are mostly for my Father-In-Law who has an 800 acre farm on the shore of Lake Erie.  I am finding myself becoming more interested in farming as I am getting tired of the rat race.  I am seriously considering packing it all in and working the land and the cattle.  I know the pay sucks as does the hours but it also leaves a lot of time to work with cars etc.  I guess time will tell.

Attached are a few photos of my drive just North of LA, heading up towards the valley in the previous photos.  A cloud of fog was just sitting there between the mountains, of course as it was a 6% grade for 10kms.  Very tricky.
