Iv'e got a 440 with a little bit  of a bumpy cam but the car doesn't light up as much as I would expect all the time..I was told with the 727 tranny I probably should change up the torque converter to an aftermarket one. Anybody have any suggestions  ?? thanks.

Whoa there....ALOT more info needed before just "Pick-a-converter"....

What year 440? How "Lumpy" of a cam? "What rear gear?

Sure, you COULD install a 4500 Stall in it and POSSIBLY get the rear tires to spin, but if the previous owner installed a 2.76:1 gears in it for MPG, I don't care what converter is in it, it ain't gonna "Boil the balonies" like you want.

PS:  If your Hookin', your cookin'...If your spinning you ain't winning...
