Help please! Need quick advice!

[Surf Charger]

Charger is currently in the shop getting TTI 1 3/4 headers installed. Shop called and said kickdown linkage is not working due to interference with header. They don't know if there are aftermarket parts to resolve this issue or if it needs to be modified. I've found an old thread on this but all the links were dead in regards to a resolution.

Can any direct me to some proper modification that will make the kickdown linkage work? TTI's footnotes didn't seem to have anything regarding this unless I somehow looked over it. I called TTI and both techs are traveling today and won't be around till tomorrow.

Vehicle in question: 1969 Charger w/ 383 and Torqueflight 727 floor shift.


Any info would be greatly appreciated. Was hoping to have this thing out of the shop by now.
