SG1022

I just picked this up last week.  ;)

2004 3500 duramax. 80k miles, and CLEAN.

My '94 Cummins dually has 1,200,000 miles on it, and I always said if I bought a new diesel it would be a Cummins, but the price was right, and this thing drives like a car!

Is your ram the one that has had articles on it for being over a million miles ? Do you tow RV's with it around the US ?

Anything ever done to the cummins ? 1,2 wow

It was given to my by my grandfather. He has had some articles on it, but not in the last 5 or 6 years or so. He owned a trailer transport business, so he towed most any trailer, but mostly horse trailers. I will have to get the details on the articles. Nothing done to the engine, and he recently told me that all he had to do on the truck was get a transmission replacement every 450k or so. Which isn't bad for a auto tranny getting worked hard nonstop. Even the body has faired pretty well, with only a little rust on the roof, and clearcoat peel on the dually fenders.

uuuh, Durajunk, I would not own one if it was given to me! I know several guys who owned them and one actually had a "Durajunk" decal made for the back window! Should have got another 12v Cummins!!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

SG1022

I bought it to resell, not to keep.

Good deal then!!!  :2thumbs:

Yep, 10k below bluebook, and Duramax and Allison have a big enough following. Shouldn't be too hard of a sale.  :2thumbs:

How about some pics of that million mile 12v :)

Dodge should buy it back and use it in advertisements for the cummins trucks.

Dirtymax

I thought other than injector issues they were a pretty good engine ? I know of a few high mile trucks around here. Mind you after looking under the hood i'd never want to have to work on one. Reminds me of the old powerstroke days. Live wires running in oil under the valve covers, valve cover gaskets with wire connectors, $300 per injector, million sensors and all that good stuff.  :brickwall:

I love my Cummins but I think the D-maxes are okay too. Anything's better than a 6.0 Ferd.
