steering wheel 66 charger

although faded   my steering wheel appears to look like woodgrain   ,  my interior is red   was this an option for 66  .wheel horns appear stock   thanx    hemikev....

the so called "woodgrain" steering wheel was the only wheel available on the 66 Chargers....and yea, it's actually plastic....I bet it's smooth also with not much "grain" left.

I bought a 66 Charger back in the 90's from original owner....she had one of those stretchy leatherey black covers on it....I took it off and all the "woodgrain grooves" are still there

I bought a 361 Charger with a wrapped steering wheel and when we took the cover off the wood grain was really nice.  However, the holes in the steering wheel cover left lighter sun faded spots on the plastic wood grain.  It sorta looked like a contagious disease of some sort.  The interior had a lot of sun damage.

:iagree:  67 was the year with the option(s) for wheels.  There was the recall wheel (or finger slicer as some call it) and the full horn ring option.
