Isn't there just "something" about a '68?

The glaring round quad tail lights?   The wide open air sucker up front?  The side-markers that say 'old school'?  The ginormous dash-pad?

Like some of you guys on the forum I grew up watching Dukes Of Hazzard and always wanted a '69... until I saw the a$$-end of that 68 and she spoke to me...

Either way, all the B-body Chargers are sexy (and for that matter, B-bodies in general).... sorry Mitsu guys, but noooooope...

I love all 2nd gens but I love the 69's tail lights although the 68's grille looks more menacing!!!

I have a '73 also. The sig pic was taken at Treasure Island a few years ago with other Charger owners.

Welcome.

Only thing better than your "something" is a 68 Road Runner. :slap:

By the way, 1968 says hello right back at you.

true dhat....

While the '68 grille is probably the best, I think the sinister '69 tailights are better than on any other car in history.

I do like the round marker lights.

Yep, same, I cant walk past any 68 model without admiring the side markers with the prism cut glass.
Masterpiece styling.
I'm gutted to see them welded over on prostreet/custom models  :badidea:
But Hey, its all about personal choice. Just not what I'd do though...

I have a extra set of 68 marker lights and thinking about putting them on my 2006 Dodge Ram.

when i was young, the 2nd gen charger blew me away. i had to have one. in 1972 i turned 16 and got me a 68 charger. the most beautiful thing in the world. well through the years i decided i needed another 2nd gen. looked forever for a 68 that i could afford. couldnt find any 2nd gens. then i fell apon a 70 charger 500. it wasnt a 68, but it was sweet. since then, that 70 has really grown on me. i really love it. all three are different enough to be individual and the same.  now the 70 is my favorite, but you are right, there is just something about a 68. :2thumbs:
